Men

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17

Iron & Iron is the community of men of Second Mile who amplify Jesus through the intentional sharpening and refining of one another. We challenge each other to accept responsibility, live courageously, humbly serve, and live for a cause greater than ourselves. Iron & Iron takes men out of isolation and connects them to the other men in this spiritual community.

God has designed each of us with care and uniqueness to bear his image as sons, friends, fathers, husbands, workers, artists, thinkers, students, theologians, and leaders.

Vision Statement

Iron & Iron is the community of men of Second Mile who amplify Jesus through the intentional sharpening and refining of one another. We challenge each other to accept responsibility, live courageously, humbly serve, and live for a cause greater than ourselves.

Bible Studies and Book Groups

Throughout the year we host Bible studies to help men grow in their understanding of Scripture and to continue to create opportunity for connection. These studies change regularly and the groups last six to ten weeks depending on the study.

Book groups are led by men who have read a beneficial book that helped them grow in their pursuit of God. Men who participate in these groups will read assigned chapters during the week and come together to discuss the ideas, concepts, and challenges in the book. We hope these groups will challenge people to grow in their faith as well as provide opportunities to meet and connect with other men.

Crash

Crash is an opportunity for men to cultivate a deeper level of biblical practice and gospel living through transparency and accountability. Each Crash consists of 3-4 men committed to Jesus and to one another. This commitment is the foundation for the active sharpening essential in each of our lives.

Men's Retreat

Iron & Iron hosts a men’s retreat in the spring. We intentionally create space to connect with other men (those you know and the discovery of new relationships), to be challenged with truth, and to laugh and decompress. Our prayer is that each time we meet our perspective will be readjusted, keeping our affections and vision centered on Jesus.
